Brendan Spina: Architecture & Photography

Westminster St. School

This design began from a sensory construction completed for local pre-school students. The ‘RaveCube’ offered children a space where they could manipulate the color and shape of the pertruding light. I incorperated this into the pre-school design to ensure the children have a space to explore their own curiosities since this is the concept Reggio-Emilia schools were founded on. A centralized common space creates a sense of security and allows the students to gradually mix with younger or older students.
